Christmas magic

I got my Christmas gift in the new year – a book called Christmas Magic by Cathy Kelly from my secret Santa. My getting it late was no fault of my friend. I just decided to take a long Christmas break.

The day I got the book, I was dropped in office by DH. He was supposed to pick me up after work but an argument enroute put paid to the idea.

Getting back wasn’t an issue. I caught the office cab home. When I arrived at my doorstep, I realized that the keys were with DH. Imagine my dismay. That’s when I saw the book.

I settled myself on the step, switched on the torch app on my mobile phone and started reading. When DH arrived after 45 minutes, I was halfway through the 2nd story.

It was a lovely gift that had more meaning than my friend probably thought it would be.
