Old vs New

What’s wrong with the old ways? One shouldn’t just embrace new methods because they look or sound good. Where is this rave coming from? We were discussing what my requirements are for my new apartment.

Modular kitchens look good in the showrooms. I agree that the interiors of homes in Extreme Makeover are out of this world. But for an ordinary housewife, who also works 5 days a week do I need all these fancy fittings?

I need a few shelves for my pots and pans, and a lot of storage space for my containers in varying sizes. I resent anyone looking down on old fashioned ways.

Let’s pick the practical uses of the new and the old. Despite all this, it is to be seen whether I will leave my kitchen in a mess or not. It’ll probably be a subject of contention once we move in.
